All large-diameter pipe welders on BWZ crews hold current API 1104 Procedure Qualification Records (PQR). Every welder is qualified to the specific procedure required by the operator before they strike an arc on your project.
Gathering and transmission lines are constructed, tested, and maintained in strict accordance with API 5L specifications for steel pipe, ensuring the integrity of the steel backbone of your operation.
We run 100% radiographic and ultrasonic testing coordination based on operator specs. Third-party NDE technicians review all film and generate independent reports that get filed alongside our internal weld logs.
Field crews operate under rigorous safety management systems. Site-specific safety plans, daily JSA (Job Safety Analysis), and continuous H2S monitoring protocols are standard on every BWZ site, from the Permian to the Gulf Coast.
A certification is only as good as the paperwork behind it. BWZ provides full weld-log traceability, hydrotest charts, and closeout documentation packages that operators can audit with confidence.
If a weld doesn't pass, it gets cut out and re-welded — documented, not buried — because a repaired-and-hidden defect costs an operator far more down the line than a day of rework costs us now.
